1. Who we are
"RRB Exam Prep" ("the app") is published by Layaprep, a publisher of
exam-preparation apps. Public contact: support@layaprep.com.
2. Summary
The app is offline-first. It does not require an account, does not
collect personal information, does not include advertising SDKs, and
does not send analytics or telemetry to us or to third parties.
3. Data we process on your device
The following data is stored locally on your device and never
transmitted to our servers:
- Practice attempts, scores, and timing
- Bookmarks and review flags
- App preferences (such as theme and language)
4. Data we collect
None. We do not operate any backend that receives your data. The app
makes no network calls to Layaprep servers; in fact, Layaprep does
not operate user-data servers for this app.
5. Permissions
The app requests only the Android permissions strictly required to
function. The Android manifest declares only the standard internet
permission, and the app uses this only to allow the underlying
WebView to render. The app does not request access to contacts, SMS,
location, microphone, camera, call logs, calendar, or external
storage.
6. Third-party services
None embedded. The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics
SDK, no crash reporting SDK, and no social-login SDK. The shipped
bundle includes only React, Capacitor's Android shell, and the
Outfit font package — none of which transmit user data to a remote
service in this app's configuration.
7. Android system backup
The app's Android manifest sets `android:allowBackup="true"`. This
is a feature of Android itself (not a Layaprep service) that lets
your device back up app data to **your own** Google account, so
your study progress can be restored when you reinstall the app or
move to a new phone. Important details:
- The data backed up is the same local-storage content described
in section 3 (attempts, scores, bookmarks, preferences). No
additional data is enabled by this flag.
- The backup is held by Google under your Google account, governed
by Google's privacy policy. Layaprep does not see, receive, or
store this backup.
- To opt out, go to Android Settings → System → Backup, or disable
"Back up by Google One" / "App data" for this device or this app.
- Uninstalling the app and clearing the backup from your Google
account removes the backed-up copy.
8. Crash reports
We do not operate a crash reporting backend. If Google Play surfaces
anonymized crash data to us via Play Console, that data is provided
by Google under its own policies, not collected by the app.
9. Children
The app is intended for exam candidates (typically 18+). It does not
knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
10. Data retention & deletion
Because data lives only on your device, you can erase it at any
time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings, or by
uninstalling the app. To also remove the Android system backup,
use the steps in section 7.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
when material changes are made. The previous versions of this
policy will continue to be archived for reference.
